Tripp’s Savory Southern Baked Grits!
Cook about a cup of grits (Jim Dandy quick grits are our fave) according to the package.
Once cooked remove from heat and add:
2 tbsp butter
Large pinch of salt
Quarter cup half and half
Half a cup mozzarella/provolone
or cheese of choice
Half small sweet onion, diced
Half tsp garlic salt
Half tsp Trader Joe’s vegan chicken seasoning or chicken bouillon (This us what REALLY makes it!)
*Stir to combine
Transfer to 8x8 small casserole dish
Top with parm or cheese of choice!
Bake 375° until brown! About 15 mins.
